  • Cafe Crew / Barista - Part Time

Overview:
OFC owns and operates an immersive coffee shop, The Old Farm Café and Dining Experience, next door and connected to the OFC Creations Theatre Center.

OFC Creations is seeking Crew Members to run the day to day operations of the coffee shop. Crew will be trained as baristas, with additional responsibilities in food prep, event execution, cleaning, cashing out customers, and more.

Crew members must be age 16 or older.

General Responsibilities:

· Grinding and brewing coffee

· Developing and maintaining expert knowledge of coffee and educating clients and colleagues about these coffees

· Consistently providing well-crafted, beautifully presented and tasty beverages and food

· Taking client orders and receiving payment

· Speaking and interacting with both new and regular customers

· Maintaining a clean and sanitized working environment

· Following health and safety guidelines

· Regularly performing stock checks in the coffee bar and placing new orders

· Following recipes and presentations for food and beverage items, if needed

· Being aware of and following operational policies and procedures

· Being punctual and maintaining regular and consistent attendance

· Contributing to a positive work environment

· Crew members may work additional shifts at the OFC Creations Theatre Center or other locations as a Production Assistant

· Additional responsibilities added upon role development and expansion
 

Job Schedule and Location:

· The general manager will set schedule for crew members based on their availability, which may change weekly or may be consistent, during operating hours as well as special events

· Work will solely take place at OFC’s The Old Farm Café location

Requirements:

Compensation and Benefits:

§ Hourly compensation starts at $15 per hour

  • Prop Master / Designer for GYPSY - Part Time (Termed January-February 2025)
    Job Summary:

OFC Creations is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and collaborative individual to serve as the Props Master for the musical GYPSY, presented as part of OFC's Broadway in Brighton Series. This individual will make a list of the props required for the show, collaborate with the directorial team to ensure the list is accurate, pull props from OFC storage, source props online and in the community for missing elements, and potentially create props that are unable to be found. Prop Master will ensure historical accuracy for time period, settings, and context of the pieces acquired. Props Master will not be needed at performances and will train the props run crew on how the items should be utilized. 
 

Schedule: 
Flexible schedule set by employee within hours limits set by management.

Employee will begin work early January 2025 making lists and sourcing

Completing props gathering by January 26

Will be available for dress rehearsals / tech from January 26-January 30

Will be available on an as-needed basis throughout the run if elements get damaged or lost,

Will strike the props from the show on February 16
 

General Responsibilities:

  • Creating thorough lists of what is needed

  • Researching time period and settings

  • Sourcing and acquiring props from OFC stock, online, community

  • Building props that cannot be sourced

  • Training how to map out props, utilize them with run crew and actors

  • Striking props at end of show back to storage or where they have been borrowed from
     

Required Skills/Abilities:​

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Summer Camp Vocal Director - Part Time (Termed July-August 2025)

Job Summary:

OFC Creations is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and collaborative individual with a passion for inspiring the next generation of musical theatre performers. This employee will be staffed on vocal directing musical theatre productions as part of OFC's ROC Summer Theatre Experience in July and/or August 2025. ROC Summer Theatre Experience is the largest theatre summer camp program in New York State including 22 full musical productions in 8 weeks. Employee may have additional opportunities in the school year if interested. 
 

Schedule: 
Employment dates will be between July 7 and August 30, 2025. Specific dates will be set and confirmed between management and employee at time of hiring. Work days are typically 9AM-3PM Monday through Friday for two weeks. Employee may be staffed on more than one production at a minimum of one week and maximum of eight weeks. Each camp concludes with performances on Friday/Saturday the second weekend of the respective camp. 

 

General Responsibilities:

  • Vocal directing and working with children between the ages of 4 and 18

  • Overseeing the elements of an assigned production from beginning to end.

  • Bringing about a unified vision within the finished product of the show

  • Collaborating with a team of fellow artists and designers

  • Setting a positive and organized example for the students and staff 

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent leadership and supervisory skills.

  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of the performing arts.

    • School based or club based teaching experience is preferred but not required 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
